Let Us Introduce You to Hotlips Soda

HOTLIPS Soda worships the magnificent fruits and berries grown in the Pacific Northwest. With taste blasts,  shifts in flavor, and surprising notes and harmonies, each sip tells the story of prime growing conditions and the hard work of growers.

HOTLIPS Soda is real fruit soda, traditionally brewed. Picked-ripe fruit is cooked in kettles, bringing out its nuanced flavors. Seeds are filtered out (but not pulp), then pure cane sugar, organic lemon juice and filtered sparkling water are added. Then the soda is bottled and pasteurized.

Chef-driven and overseen, HOTLIPS Sodas contain lots of real fruit—no shortcuts, supplements, artificial flavors, colors or trickery. And no corn syrup. Brewed throughout the year, even the bottles are locally made from 80% recycled glass.Early summer declares itself with cherry and raspberry. Late summer brings marionberry and the haunted-looking beauty — black raspberry. The nights cool and apples, cranberries and pears ripen. Flavor nuance in HOTLIPS Soda varies from batch to batch depending on the varietal, the heat of the day and cool of the night. Creating connoisseurs young and old as they compare batches, seasons and years, equalizing food snobs and kids.

What’s your favorite flavor?

Available now:
CherryPearRaspberryMarionberry, Cranberry, and Black Raspberry. More flavors to come. There are often special edition bottles and very special flavors on tap in the five HOTLIPS pizzerias in Portland. Like huckleberry, picked on the slopes of Mt. Adams,  organic loganberry, spicy ginger or  lemon. All so good!

Can you love more than one?

  • I am such a great fan of your Hot Lips Sodas, they completely embody the use of local, sustainable berries within a unique and great tasting product.

This is what the Oregon story is all about, cooperation between berry growers and product manufacturers to create a drink that is good for you and good for the planet.

I wanted to let you know that your Hot Lips soda was a big hit at the Oregon Raspberry & Blackberry Commission meeting last night. Everyone was raving about it!

  • Those sodas are just amazing! Of the ones I sampled, I think my favorites are the boysenberry and the pear. However, it is really hard to pick as they are all great.

  • Moved to the Portland area about 9 months ago, and one of the best discoveries I’ve made so far is Hotlips Pear Soda. That stuff RULES North America. Tastes just like you’re drinking a fresh pear. Portland rocks for many reasons, but high on the list are your sodas. Keep it up!!

  • I don’t drink soda – normally, but after I was introduced to Hot Lips on a trip to Portland I was hooked. Not only did I pack it in my luggage to bring back as gifts, it was the best birthday surprise when a variety pack showed up at my Phoenix home! Can’t wait til we have Hot Lips out here in the desert!
Thank you for your delicious sodas!

  • My grandparents lived in Woodburn. In the summer of ’72, we went to visit them and my grandma had made some black raspberry jam. The other day I had my first Hot Lips soda, a black raspberry. It tasted like grandma’s jam! Mmmmmmmmmmm.

  • I wish this was available to purchase online! I saw this on the food network I believe and am dying to try it. Looks like I will have to venture into the city(Chicago) to the one place I found relatively close to me!
